Susie Chant
MLA for North Vancouver - Seymour
Susie Chant was elected MLA for North Vancouver – Seymour in 2020, and was appointed Parliamentary Secretary for Accessibility in 2022. In 2024, she was re-elected by a strong margin, being the first ever BCNDP MLA to win re-election in the riding, and garnering one the highest amounts of votes of any candidate across the province. In December of 2024, Susie was appointed as Parliamentary Secretary for Seniors Services and Long Term Care, as well as the MLA responsible for the BC Consular Corps.
Susie has dedicated her life to caring for and protecting people – as a Registered Nurse team leader in community care with Vancouver Coastal Health, and as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy Reserves for over 40 years.
Susie is an active member of Girl Guides of Canada and a former leader. She has also been a Sun Run clinic leader for 25 years, helping people in her community to be more active.
With deep roots in the North Shore community, Susie has called the Lynn Valley home since 1988, where her kids grew up attending local schools and participating in community sports. Susie and her husband are the parents of two adult daughters and were foster parents for 12 years. They provided a safe home for teenagers in crisis and supported them to get back to their families.
Susie’s husband Rick runs a home-based business, repairing and maintaining augmentative technology for people with significant disabilities.

The Constituency Office
Located in Lynn Valley, the constituency office is a non-partisan space to do the day-to-day work of the MLA. The team in the office is always happy to assist in any issues you may be dealing with or any questions you may have.
The North Vancouver - Seymour Team
The North Vancouver - Seymour team works and volunteers their time around the clock, all year long, to make sure Susie is supported for re-election. From fundraising to canvassing, to voter contact, and events, they are ready to go.
